Biesanz Stone History
The Biesanz family started both a brick manufacturing business and a limestone stone fabrication business in Winona, located in the Southeastern area of Minnesota, in the late 1800’s. The brick manufacturing business eventually closed, but Biesanz Stone has been in the limestone business ever since.
A group of partners purchased Biesanz Stone from the Biesanz family in 2010. In 2022, Construction Ventures Inc., one of the partners, bought out the other partners.
Today, CVI/Biesanz Stone focuses on commercial limestone products fabricated from our quarried stone, as well as producing limestone landscaping products out of our quarries. With applications on a variety of project types, Biesanz Stone is synonymous with quality products and expertise in limestone fabrication. Biesanz proudly continues the tradition of more than 125 years of limestone product production in our local area.
Biesanz Quarry Land
Biesanz Stone owns approximately 260 acres of actual quarry spread across 650 acres of hilltop property above Winona.
Biesanz Facilities
Our corporate offices and 35,000 square feet of modern limestone fabrication facilities are located in the Winona area.
