Looking for a cost-effective product that could be installed quickly and would lower design loads imposed on the building structure, the building owner and designers for Highland Bank in Bloomington, MN, chose Natural Stone Panels with MDL to fit their needs. Unlike precast and handset masonry products, Natural Stone Panels provided the design team with a product that could be installed in less time, but with the same beauty and durability they had come to expect with competitive products, and it is as low as 30 percent of the weight of typical architectural precast panels.
Featuring more than 25,000-square-feet of Natural Stone Panels with MDL, production on the panels began once the final shop drawings were received from the architect. Biesanz was able to fabricate the panels in our climate-controlled production facility so the panels were ready once construction began.
Installation on the project took a fraction of the time required to install handset masonry products, with up to 10 Natural Stone Panels being installed daily. The project also featured 1,000-square-feet of handset Biesanz MDL.
